How much do you charge for delivery?

Delivery is FREE to UK mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands) if you spend over £29.99.

£2.99 for orders under £29.99

£12 per parcel (2 day delivery) if your delivery is to the Scottish Highlands & Ireland.

£12 per parcel (2 day delivery) if your delivery is to the Channel Islands or Isle of Man

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes, shipping to Europe will be charged according to the shipping zone. The following shipping zones show the countries that we ship to and the relevant charges that apply per parcel. Other countries may be possible but please email us. Please note, insurance is included in the rates:

Additional European Countries £65

Zone 1 countries are:

Belgium, France (Inc Monaco), Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands.

If you are using this service and your order consists of more than 1 parcel, please email our customer services team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com in advance to establish the cost as there may be discounts for multiple parcels. We will do our upmost to ensure that we obtain the best possible price for you from the carrier.

If you are trying to place an order from outside of the countries listed above, please email customerservices@babyandchildstore.com with the product details and your delivery address to enable us to obtain the best quote for you.

If the country that you require is not listed, please email our customer services team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com in order that we can obtain a price for you.

Can I have my order delivered to a different address?

You are able to have your goods delivered to an alternative delivery address although this does need to be done at the ordering stage online.

Customers paying by Paypal can only have goods delivered to confirmed Paypal addresses.

When ordering, can I specify a safe place to have my parcel left?

It is a requirement that all our parcels are signed for therefore, if you will not be available to receive your order, please consider an alternative address for receiving your parcels such as a neighbour.

What are the shipping timescales?

If an order is placed before 12.00pm, we will dispatch the order that day for next day delivery*. We will provide you with courier tracking information.

Note; In some cases, goods are dispatched directly from the manufacturer which may take slightly longer. You will be notified about this in the product description.

*Please note the timescales are for orders to UK mainland, orders to other destinations will take longer. Whilst we make every effort to provide a next day delivery for UK mainland, we cannot guarantee this service as it may from time to time be affected by adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. We make every effort to meet delivery timescales and will update you accordingly. Where such circumstances arise, BabyandChildstore.com cannot be held responsible.

Furthermore any orders place on or the day before a bank holiday will not be processed until the next working day after the bank holiday. However if you do have any queries regarding delivery dates please do not hesitate in emailing our Customer Services Team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com

We will always strive to achieve the best delivery rates for our customers and therefore reserve the right to vary our carriers. Some products may attract special offers including free shipping, unless stated otherwise, this will refer to standard UK mainland delivery which takes between 3 and 5 days. We are afraid that these offers will not be available to overseas customers unless specifically stated.

Checkout Problems

If you are having problems completing your order using the BabyandChildstore.com checkout, it may relate to the payment method that you are using. We take our users security very seriously and therefore participate in 3D secure.

If this is the first time you have used your Visa or MasterCard online then you may be asked to register. If you have already registered your card, you will be asked to input your security password by the bank. This is a secure system and is used by many retailers set up to help combat online fraud. However, we appreciate that sometimes this can cause issues when trying to checkout. If you are experiencing problems, please try an alternative payment option or email our Customer Services team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com . Thank you.

Do I have to pay for the return of damaged/faulty items?

No you do not have to pay for the return of damaged goods if you are in the UK, please contact us for a collection to be arranged, this can be Monday – Friday.

However if your product is not found to have a fault once inspected by our technicians you will be charged £29.25 for administration and handling fees.

If you wish to return an unwanted product, please email our Customer Services team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com.

If you are overseas then you will need to return the goods at your own expense and pay for the repaired/replaced item to be delivered back to you.

How can I get a VAT receipt?

Unfortunately we do not supply separate VAT receipts. Our VAT number is located on your email order confirmation.

How do I pack an item if I am returning it?

Returning faulty products

When returning a faulty product to Babyandchildstore.com please ensure that the original packing is used wherever possible to avoid damage in transit. However if this is not possible please pack the item in another cardboard box.

Returning unwanted items

If you are returning an unwanted item (within 14 days) you must endeavour to use the original packaging to enable a full refund. Email our Customer Services team on customerservices@babyandchildstore.com. If you receieved a free gift with your order, this must also be returned unused in its original packaging. 

How Do I return an Item?

If you receive your order and it is not what you are expecting, it isn’t a problem - you can return it back to us within 14 days of receiving the goods for a full refund less the shipping costs. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide free returns due to our next day shipping costs, therefore, returning the unwanted item(s) is at your own expense. You must also return any Free gifts unused in their original packaging at your expense. Please email our Returns team on returns@babyandchildstore.com to inform them that you will be returning the item(s). They will confirm the returns address to you and provide you with further returns information.

Once you have returned the item(s) we will refund you through which ever payment method you used, subject to the goods being in their original condition.

However, in the unlikely event that your order has arrived damaged please report the fault to us as soon as possible after receipt but certainly within seven working days via email to customerservices@babyandchildstore.com

How long does the refund back to my card take?

The refund process is immediate, however like most companies, Babyandchildstore.com has a returns process which is 'less automated' than the sales order process. For faulty goods for example, we don't refund until the returned item has been logged, tested and confirmed to be faulty.

Please allow 3-5 working days for credit card refunds to show on your statements.

Security and Privacy Notice

In addition to our secure website we also implement the Visa and MasterCard anti fraud protections schemes. If your credit card issuer participates in the scheme you will be asked for your online password to verify your transaction.

If you have yet to register for this scheme don't worry as your card issuer will either ask you to register during our checkout process or in another future transaction.
